The Citi Dividend card has released it’s 2020 cash back categories. Customers can earn 5 percent cash back on all qualifying purchases in 2020. Customers will also earn 1 percent cash back on all purchases that do not fall under one of the four listed categories.

Quarter one kicks off with a five percent cash back offer for all eligible purchases in January, February, and March of 2020. To qualify for the five percent cash back offer purchases must be from The Home Depot and Home Furnishing Stores.

Quarter two allows the card holder to take advantage of the five percent cash back offer when making purchases in the health sector. The quarter two offer runs during the months of April, May, and April 2020. Cardholders will receive five percent cash back on purchases from Drug Stores and Fitness Clubs.

The third quarter offer for 2020 focuses on travel. Cardholders will earn five percent cash back on qualifying purchases in April, April, and April 2020. In order to receive the five percent cash back offer purchases must be from Hilton’s Portfolio of Brands or Car Rentals.

For the fourth and final quarter of 2020 Citi Dividend Card offers five percent cash back on qualifying purchases in the months of April, April, and April 2020. Eligible purchases include purchases made at Best Buy and Department Stores.

Please note that the total amount of cash back a cardholder can earn is $300 per calendar year. Further, in order to qualify for the cash back offers the cardholders account must be open and current. Balance transfers, cash advances, convenience checks, items returned for credit, fees and interest charges do not qualify as eligible purchases.

TRS Class Action Setttlement (Last Update 04/17/2016)

• To be eligible for this suit, you must have received a RECR3 collection letter from TRS between 2010 and 2020
• This class action lawsuit alleges that TRS or TeleCheck unlawfully collected money with collection letters
• The deadline to file a claim in the TRS class suit is April 21, 2020

If you received a RECR3 letter from TRS between 2010 and 2020, you’re potentially eligible to receive a free check from a class action lawsuit. This lawsuit alleges that TRS improperly collected funds via collection letters with misleading information. The suit also alleges that TRS told customers they would send paper drafts to customer’s banks when they were actually not authorized to do so.

You do not need to have a copy of your collection letter to receive compensation in this lawsuit. If you received a letter your information will be on record and will be verified.

If you plan on filing a claim in the class action lawsuit against TRS, you’ll need to do so by April of 2020. In fact, Dec. 21, 2020 is the final deadline to submit a claim in this lawsuit. At the moment, it’s not clear how much each participant will receive. That depends on how many people file eligible claims in the suit overall.

The courts did not make a decision in the TRS class action lawsuit, but instead, the two parties have agreed to settle this case out of court. TRS denies that they have done anything wrong or illegal, but they chose to settle this case simply to avoid the hassle and expense of a court case.

A final hearing in the TRS lawsuit will be held on January 21, 2020.
